- Another disadvantage of direct democracy is, everyone has to vote. It's a government of the people. Sometimes cities get too big for everyone.

- In direct democracy people decide what happens in the community, but opinions can be tainted by corruption and lies. That is one disadvantage of direct democracy, especially.
- In a direct democracy government system everyone has to vote. The bigger the city the bigger the crowd, so this is not a very functional government system for most modern day countries.
- When there is a population of people, and all of them have to vote on something, not everyone is going to agree. Occasionally, people with the same opinion band together and they separate themselves from those with different opinions. This starts a quarrel.
