- Hello, I am Sarah, and this is the story of my grandfather and his grand escape. When my grandfather Braulio was 13 years old, his parents separated. After the separation, he decided he would move in with his father, and leave his mother, Petra, and little sister, Heralda behind.
- Come back!
- 1966-67
- Please, don't leave!
- But not long after the separation, Braulio's father, Eloy, died of an unknown sickness. Alone and afraid, Braulio was forced to enter a monk school if he wanted to have some food and shelter for the night.
- I miss my family...
- Come, child. It is time to begin your classes.
- One day, Braulio decided that he was not going to stay at the school any longer. He knew that his mother was still out there and he had to find her. But if he wanted to go home, he was going to have to break out of the school!
- I have to get out of here! I need to go home!
- I'm coming home, Mom!
- That night, Braulio managed to break out of the monk school. And once he did, he dashed into town in search for his mother and little sister.
- Now, we have to find our mom.
- After a few days, Braulio learned that his little sister Heralda had been separated by their mother and sent to a school for nuns. So, Braulio, doing what he did best, helped her break out of the school, too.
- Heralda! I missed you so much!
- I missed you, too, Braulio!
- The theme of my story is that it is better to be with the ones you love instead of being on your own.
- I missed you two so much!
- We missed you, too, Mom!

- Together, Braulio and Heralda spent a long time searching for their mother. Until one day, Braulio got word of his mother's location. Soon the entire family was reunited, and Braulio knew that he had made the right decision breaking out of the school.
