- God created the earth and the universe around us.
- Then he said let there be light. This created night and day.

- God said Let the water under the sky gather together and let dry land appear.
- Then he said Let the earth put forth vegetation; Plant yielding seed and fruit trees of every kind that bear fruit with the seed in it.
- Day Three
- Then he said“Let there be lights in the dome of the sky to separate the day from the night; and let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and years, 1 and let them be lights in the dome of the sky to give light upon the earth.”
- God said, “Let the waters bring forth swarms of living creatures,and let birds fly above the earth across the dome of the sky.”
- Then God said, ‘Let the earth bring forth the living creature according to its kind: cattle and creeping thing and beast of the earth, each according to its kind’;
- This was also the day that he made humans
