- A single mother of seven called Mrs. Jonestone has pregnant twins, and she has no idea what to do, heremployer Mrs. Lyons convinces Mrs. Johnstone to give her one of the babies cause Mrs. Lyons had no baby.

- Mrs. Lyons takes Edward after swearing on the bible with Mrs. Jonestone, Mrs. Lyons say Edward is her own child and tells everyone. After Mrs. Jonestone starts to miss Edward, Mrs. Lyons fires her.
- After Mickey get out of prison
- Seven years old Mickey and Edward met each other and be come bloodbrother.

- Linda finds out is pregnant so Mickey marries her after losing his job. Now unemployed, Mickey and Sammy are involved in a crime and are sent to prison. When Mickey came out, he got frustrated and began to rely on pills to help him cope, he continued to take them after he was released from prison.
- After Mickey gets out of prison and finds a new job, he learns that Edward and Linda have started a lighthearted romance. Mickey got angry, found Sammy's gun, and went to his workplace, City Hall, to find Edward.
- Mickey had accidentally shot Edward after Mrs. Johnstone told the truth, and the police had killed Mickey.
