- What a great view!
- I do love my new place, but I always hoped to have a vegetable garden. I always think about living a more sustainable life.
- I'm sure a small garden could fit here. But you don't need to wait for a big backyard to live sustainably.
- Really? Please Tell me more!
- Sustainability is about living in a way that makes sure the earth's resources are able to be used in the future. Not just gardening. We need to take care of ALL of the earth.
- It is, and it's so important! We are already running out of fossil fuels and are continuing to destroy animal homes to cut down trees. We need more people like you to make a change!
- So how can I make a change?

- We can even re-use some of our old things! We could make little planter boxes for this balcony using old milk cartons! If you do both of these things, you will help reduce the amount of waste being taken to landfills and reduce the amount of air pollution from the rubbish that is burnt at landfills!
- An act as small as making sure you separate your food scraps into the green bin is a great start. There is so much food that ends up in the landfill that could be used to make compost.
- Those are really great ideas! But I'd really like to know how I can help people too.
- Well, we read a book in school called Dear Pope Francis . He told the story of Jesus feeding the 5000 to remind us that there are plenty of resources in the world. We just need to use them sparingly, and share what we have with the poor.
