  • South: Fine, but we get to pass the Fugitaive Slave Act!

  • We are here to declare these two territories open!
  • A compromise in which would pass the Fugative Slave Act, but would abolish slave trade in Washington D.C. This woud of course ibcrease tension between the north ad the south, later on leading to the civil war.
  • Dred Scott Decision(March 6, 1857)
  • Uncle Tom's Cabin is a novel about an enslaved person. It was all about the terrible living conditions and all the mistreatings. It sparked more hatred ove slavery from the north.
  • Harper's Ferry(October 6, 1859)

  • Where the Missouri Compromise was repealed, two new territories were opened and allowed popular sovereignty. There were people who didn't like the idea and revolted.
  • Election of 1860(November 6, 1860)

  • Where a black man(Dred Scott) took his case to the Supreme Court, arguing that if a black person had been living in a free state or territory, they aren't entitled to slavery and that he is entitled to his feedoms. Some people agreed and others didn't, sparking bigger issues
  • These are my entitled rights, as I am a free man living in a free state!
  • An assult by an armed band of abolitionists led by John Brown on the federal armoury at Harper's Ferry. Many people decided to revolted in an act against or for slavery.
  • Where Abraham Lincoln was elected as president, a man who was against slavery and vowed to abolish it one and for all. Those who were in favor of Slavery, snapped and tried to stop this from occuring.
