- After hours of canoeing, in search of a pear, Kino finally found one of the biggest pearls out there . Joy and relief ran through his veins as he finally received his opportunity for success. However there were others around him that grew envious .
- The news of the pearl spreads fast and before you know it the doctor came to their house. The only real reason he came wasn't because he cared about the baby but it was because he only wanted the pearl from them. Now that the doctor sees something worth for he is willing to do business. The doctor gave the baby a pill and would come back if there was an exchange of money. However Kino grew suspicious of the medication he gave Kino. Like it wasn't given for the right reasons.
- In order to earn currency they would need to exchange the Pearl for Pesos. Kino and Juana new this pearl was worth a lot. but as they went from dealer to dealer they only offered 5,000 pesos. That wasn't enough. So they went home and hid the pearl since many wanted to take it. However, during the night he saw someone take the pearl and did the worst thing to mankind.
