- Marlin and Nemo are Clown fish and live in the Great Barrier Reef. It's very beautiful but can be very dangerous. Marlin is very aware of this as he lost his wife in a barracuda attack, leaving him with his sonly son Nemo.
- meeting the mentor
- On the first day of school, everyone gets invited to a school field trip. Nemo and his friends wonder of. Marlin was very nervous.
- crossing the threshold
- Nemo wanted to show his friends how brave he is he decides to go over to the boat. he swims and then his dad stops him, but Nemo keeps on going then suddenly gets caught by a scuba diver.
- tests, allies and enemies
- While Marlin was trying to follow the boat that had taken Nemo, he runs into another fish named Dory. Dory might of been a little forgetful she stays with Marlin and helps him find Nemo.
- Even though Dory can't remember things very well, they find out that hey need each other when marlin discovers that dory can read theaddress that belonged to one of the divers, P. Sherman, 42 Wallaby WaySydney. Meanwhile, Nemo finds out he is in a whole#160;new world, a fishtank in a dentist office in#160;Sydney.
- Marlin and Dory go through a lot of adventures together including, escaping from a vegetarian shark, being attacked by an angler fish, getting directions from a school of moonfish, surviving a sea of jelly fish and receive a helping hand from some sea turtles on the East Australian Current. Meanwhile Nemo also meets some friend, the other fish in the tank and identifies the enemy a fish killing little girl named Darla.
