- For a couple of years Dylan has been wanting to talk to someone for help but he feels he will be judged. He always feels the shadows coming out of the darkness.
- No one likes you! You will never have any friends!
- You suck! Just leave!
- The shadows continue to make him feel down every day. Dylan feels lost and alone.
- Dylan feels targeted, as he is constantly being attacked by these shadows surrounding him. He feels like all these horrible things being said to him are true. Dylan has no choice but to sorrowfully accept his role as an outcast.

- The shadows made me have darkness depression like a bear going into hibernation.
- Dylan has defeated the shadows by bringing a weapon to battle and that weapon is his mum. He told her about how all of his shadows were overcrowding him and how she is his sword.

- Yes! All of these shadows have been destroyed all because of the help of my mother.
