- Keira is now 14, ready for her new spiritual dimensions. To do so, she decides to prepare herself for her vision quest. Her next steps are to prepare her physical and spiritual entity, permitting her to be bare and pure so her revelation may reach her a its full form. She is about to enter a phase of isolation, fasting, and prayer.
- Preparations
- Keira embarks to an isolated and sacred location, where she feels her spirit is at its best version and most connected to the Creator and nature. This prepares him for his fast, as she spends a couple days at the beachside.
- Special Location
- Keira begins her journey of prayer and fasting. She prays and cries out to the spirits that she may have a vision, one that will help her find her purpose in life, their role in a community, and how they may best serve the People. During this time, Keira is determined to seek the answers of questions. With the help of the community, she participated in smudging rituals along with praying.
- Isolation, Prayer Rituals and Fasting
- The most important thing is my relationship and my dependence upon the Creator and the spirits. I know that with the help of the spirits I can do and I will do. Oh, Grandfather, I am so weak and pitiful. Help me for the sake of your people!
- After several days of prayer and fasting, Kiera's Spirit Guide appeared to her and revealed an image of a braid. After her dream, she is filled with curiosity and excitement as she wonders what this illustration could possibly mean.

- The Vision
- Tribal members escort Kiera to the Elder so that her dream can be interpreted. They retrieve her from her location, and comfort her and prepare her further for her visit. She is hungry and exhausted, but is pushed to the next and final step.
- The Return Home
- Ahh, so you're Spirit Guide revealed to you a braid. Well, this is what it means, my little one: The braid, after all, comes with cultural significance, It symbolizes her people's connection to their ancestors, the Earth and the Creator. For some, braids are a symbol of strength, wisdom, and are something that reflects their identity. This circumstance is quite unique, as a simple sign of cutting of the hair would have a completely different meaning. As braiding is a social art, its patterns indicate a person's tribe, age, marital status, wealth, power, and religion. You have so much potential, and this dream demonstrates your future success with nature and your spirit.
