Ashoka’s empire experienced peace and prosperity under his rule. Ashoka proclaimed the sacredness of all human life and set an example through his charitable acts toward the poor in efforts to relieve their suffering.
He also established centers of learning and improved water systems for trade and agriculture. Ashoka built roads to help travelers and set up hospitals
