  • Where the heck am I?!?
  • Some people don't have dads. Other peoplehave many. Here is Lilian (Arrow's) Dad:
  • Name: ARROW'S DAD (Richard Honiball)
  • Mr. Dad enjoys traveling to foreign countries and has been to over 50 finding something to love about each culture. Much of the travel has been for business (apparel sourcing and development). Our Story resides in Bangladesh.
  • Greetings from Bangladesh
  •
  • Countries will move their unskilled labor off-shore to other countries where labor is cheaper when it no longer makes sense to make those items domestically. Usually this is because the said country has gained more human labor rights and the citizens demanded better pay.
  • India and China originally had many of the manufacturing jobs of the global trade market but as technology grew and these countries developed those jobs soon became “unskilled” and obsolete. Because of this combination of factors, the jobs were soon moved to other countries like Vietnam and Bangladesh where workers can be paid even less.
  • When Richard’s company started making apparel in Vietnam there was much backlash, especially with older customers who associated Vietnam with the Vietnam War and therefore had only negative views of the country. In my personal opinion I think that having a country I hate's population work for next to nothing wages to make me clothing is probably a better way to get back at their nation than not but I guess other people don't think of it like that. In summary, Mr. Dad traveled there and said the country was beautiful, people hard worked really hard.
  • No Sidewalk
  • First time in Bangladesh was not a good experience for my dad. He said the number of people was overwhelming, he did not feel safe, it was a very poor country, high unemployment, very difficult to get around (roads and sidewalks almost didn't exist).
