The Native American tribes that were involved were the 5 civilized tribes, the Creeks, Seminoles, Chickasaw, Choctaw, and Cherokee, who were taken from their homes andwere put onto small reservations which had very few animals to hunt, and they couldn’t leave to hunt outside of their area, so it destroyed everything they had and forced them into hunger on a small piece of land.

  • The Oregon Trail wasimportant to the U.S. because it let plenty of settlers go to Oregon, aresource-packed state, Oregon was also on the Pacific Ocean, so it completed manifest destiny, the resources that were here were minerals such as gold and silver, so trading or selling them would help the U.S. become wealthy. Atfirst, the Natives in Oregon saw this as an opportunity to welcome new settlers and become friendly with them through trading, but soon, they realized just how many settlers were coming to the land that they had lived on for hundreds ofyears, and started defending it, but eventually, they took defeat and settlers took over Oregon.
  • Forget about gold, there are natives! Be careful!
  • The Iron Horse, alsoknown as the TranscontinentalRailroad, let Americans go from one side of thecountry to the other, but when it was first built, it was partly used for bisonhunting, a common sport among settlers at the time, Americans would kill thousands at time and sell its parts for a profit. For the Natives in that area, this meant that their main food source was going down in amounts, andquickly, so fast that it almost caused a bison extinction in the U.S..
