- The kickoff of the battle was on August 27th 1776, Americans lost over 240 soldiers from Maryland Americans were already there and all of a sudden our 2000 soldiers were facing 15,000 British Soldiers they were very outnumbered. also called Brooklynn battle. The British took over New York.
- Brandywine
- Washington led soldiers across the Delta River, and ambushed the Hessian on Christmas.
- Saratoga
- When Washington's general was killed he stepped in and rode his horse into battle and won the battle.
- Summary
- Washington tried to stop Philadelphia from being captured but he failed and Philadelphia was captured.
- The Americans won at Saratoga, Washington was not there, he was at Brandywine. This was known to be the turning point for the Americans. This is when they got the French Navy to help them.
- All the battles have been hit or miss for the Americans. They lost Long Island but then won Trenton and Princeton. Well Washington lost the battle at Brandywine, the Americans won again at Saratoga.
