- The kickoff of the battle was on August 27th 1776, Americans lost over 240 soldiers from Maryland Americans were already there and all of a sudden our 2000 soldiers were facing 15,000 British soldiers they were very outnumbered. Also called the Brooklynn battle. The British took over New York

- Christmas day 1776 Washington decided to cross the freezing river the hessians leader told them to enjoy there Christmas and not to worry people to relax 2400 soldiers only Washington's soldiers made it back none of Philadelphia's made it in time captured the hessians and there leader only 5 men wounded 22 killed 800 wounded 1000 missing or captured America won.

- On January 2nd Washington decided to head to Princeton to attack at dawn On January 3rd battle started and the leader died and Washington took over and rode to the front line and led the army left behind 500 troops British were marching to Trenton bc thy thought they were in Trenton British waved a white flag

- in the summer of 1776 the battle started but British pulled a maneuver causing the America to retreat and they lost Philadelphia it was one of the longest battles.
