Twelve Angry Takes place in a juror room. The Jurors have just been to court and now they are taking a unanimous vote on guilty or non-guilty, The perpetrator is a 16-year-old boy who is accused of killing his father. The vote failed, 11-1 in favor of guilty.
The first piece of evidence is a switchblade knife, the jurors all agree that you cannot get a knife of the same kind, however, Juror 8, the main protagonist, pulls the same knife out of the pocket and slams it onto the table, thus proving the point wrong.
Big point proven!!!
The next piece of evidence is that a man downstairs heard him say "I'm going to kill you" and then the body dropped. This is once against disproven because the elevated train was passing by as the murder happened.
After that, the man claimed he saw the boy running down the stairs. To counter this point Juror 8 gives a demonstration using chairs to show that it would've been impossible for an old man to get to the stairway in that amount of time.
The boy claimed that he was at the movies theatres when the stabbing happened, however, he couldn't remember the specific details at the time, only later. This was proven wrong by Juror 8 who questioned another juror to see if he remembered specific details, which he didn't, proving this piece of evidence invalid.
The last piece of evidence is that an elderly woman saw the stabbing, however, this is not possible because it would take too much time to get out of bed and put spectacles on.In the end, the boy is spared.
