My story of how God's divine inspiration shapes my life and education.

I was born into a Christian family. I was raised by my loving parents with my needs met and love lavished upon me. My parents and grandparents taught me about God and read Bible stories to me. They believed that children are a gift from God (Ps. 127:3)
As I grew, I was deeply involved in the church. My mother worked at the church and I was home-schooled there. I grew to know the Lord has a plan for my life (Jer. 29:11). I also began to develop my life-long love for art.
I thought about the plan God had for my life a lot. At one of our church events I repented of my sins and dedicated my life to Christ. One day when my mother was showing me the baptistry, I asked if I could be baptized as the Lord commands those who follow and trust him to do(Mk. 1:4).
I continued to learn. I developed my art skills more and more. By the time I graduated the church saw the value of having a Christian school within its walls. I was asked to be part of it and help parents raise their children in God’s way (Pro. 22:6).
Teaching seems to be a gift I have and God wants us to develop and use our gifts (1 Pet. 4:10). As I worked in the classroom,I felt that God was inspiring me to attend a Christian college and gain the education I needed to become a good teacher, so I began my studies at LU.
I now work at a cafeteria at a secular school while I complete my studies on education and on art at LU. I bring the love of Christ with me into my work area each day so that I know how to behave and project the gospel, as commanded (Col. 4:6) in appropriate verbal andnon-verbal ways.
