- I understand. What kind of leisure activities do you do in your room? I saw you have crossword puzzles on your table! Do you do those alone?
- I do all of those alone. My son sometimes visits me, but that's it. I've been used to being alone my whole life. That's why I'm good here.
- I don't do much in here. All I have is the TV, some crossword puzzles, and books. I haven't left my room since this pandemic started and I've read over 100 books.
- I would appreciate it if you come. I'm not sure about those group activities though. I need to think more about it. I haven't met the new residents, but I was close with some residents before the pandemic.
- If you let me, I can come do some puzzles with you! Social participation is very important so I'd love to do some activities with you. Me and the rest of the students are holding some group activities for the next few weeks. If you come, you can meet the new residents you haven't met.
- Maybe these groups will help you reconnect with your old friends too! I think it would be a great opportunity and these groups will be fun. You can think about it since we will be here for the next few weeks. You don't have to if you are uncomfortable. It is completely up to you.
- I do miss being with the residents and seeing everyone. I think seeing them again would be good for me. It just makes me very nervous because of this virus going around.
- I'm happy to hear that! It would definitely be good for you. I understand your fear of the pandemic. We will all wear masks and be at least 6 feet from each other.
- I think I will try to attend one next week. I don't think I can this week.
- I can even walk with you to the activities next week. Is it okay if I come back tomorrow? I'd like to do a questionnaire with you and get to know you better.
- I would really appreciate you coming with me to the activities. And yes, you are welcome to come back here anytime! I'm happy I changed my mind about you coming.
- I appreciate you having me and I'm happy you're considering joining us for the group activities. I will see you tomorrow!
