- SCOTT (17) is in front of the classroom giving a presentation.
- How was school?
- MADDY (17) walks in to the classroom and tries to sneak on by. MR BROOKS (36) is disappointed that she has interrupted a speech.

- Maddy, I wish I had your touch.Don’t you know, I miss you very much?
- Scott develops a sweat and fixes up his glasses. The classmates begin to chuckle. Maddy has not even looked up to see what is going on. Mr Brooks gives the students a stern look.

- INT. HOUSE Scott runs through the front door. His mother, JUDY (47),notices him as she watches her afternoon television. Scott runs straight past her to go to his room.
- He sits down at his desk and gets the webcam ready. He pulls out an acoustic guitar that looks like it has never been touched before.He clicks the mouse to start recording.He begins to attempt to play the guitar and sing. It is obvious that he cannot do either.
