- This is a biography about a ballerina named Michaela Deprince. Taking Flight by: Michaela Deprince with Elaine Deprince.
- In the book its about how Michaela is from Sierra Leone and she was different from everyone because she has Vilitogo which means she has spots all over her body. people used to call her the devil child because of that condition. also when she was in Sierra Leone her dad died from soldiers who came to his work place and killed everyone there. so her and her mom had to go and live her abusive uncle. After after a few months,her mother died from sickness. Everyone thought that she killed her mother because she was different then every one else. so her uncle took her to an orphanage.
