8 steps on how a bill becomes a law

- that's a great idea and i can show you through the steps of the process
- just came up with an idea for a bill: that guns should only be allowed to police officers and other important people
- step 1: you introduced the bill that you have thought of
- walk in and introduce your bill
- ok
- wait theres more
- u must.... ( im not gonna repeat it because i put in the box)
- step 2,3,4 is basically the same first the bill is assigned to a committee, then if its passed by the committee, and then it is sent to be voted on.
- ok that doesn't sound like to much work
- the n you have to..... ( blah blah blah cuz its in the box above)
- yes
- step 5,6,7 then the bill goes to the senate and committees hold hearings, then the bill is voted on in the senate and after the bill must pass both houses.
- i have to wait all that time and do all of that
- then its sent to the president and becomes a law
- and the last step is step 8 where the bill is sent to the president and the the bill becomes a law
- thats way to much work
