- Moses was shepherding the sheep to a feeding ground and was looking for any danger.
- I am God. I have seen the sorrow of my people, heard their cry and felt their pain so now it is time for me to deliver. Get ready, I'm sending you to Pharaoh to sent my people free.
- While Moses was looking he found a burning bush. Even though it was on fire Moses noticed it wasn't getting destroyed so he moved closer. A voice from the bush called Moses and told him to do as he said. Moses knelt in awe and did as the voice commended. The voice told Moses that he would save all the israelites
- MOSES! MOSES! DON'T COME ANY CLOSER! Take off your shoes for this place is sacred.
- But Moses was uncertain and hesitated by asking God questions. God said that he would prove that he was with Moses by safely bring his people out of Egypt. God assured him that he was made and prepared by God himself.
- I am with you and I will prove it by bring my people safely out of Egypt. Tell them that I am who I am and that this will be my name forever.
- Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and lead your people out of egypt? What should I tell the children of Israel when they ask who you are and what your name is?
- But Moses wondered how he would do this when the egyptians hated him and the hebrews his own people despised him. So Moses asked another question. This time God showed him the answer.God told him to throw his staph on the ground and it turned into a snake then pick it up and it turned into a staph. But Moses was still afraid and told God that he was not very good at speaking in front of people.
- What if they don't believe me?
- I will show you. Throw your staph on the ground.
- So God told Moses that his brother Aaron would come with him on the journey and be Moses' spokesman. Aaron would support Moses on the days ahead.
- Your brother Aaron will be your spokesman.
- So Moses and Aaron herded the sheep back and got ready for the journey ahead.
