- I shouldn't be here! None of us should be in this stupid group!!!
- Group 9: Group consisted of treating the students to a special lunch and congratulating each of them on their advancement throughout the group. Each student reminisced on their favorite group and explored what they gained from attendance.
- Group 1: Meeting once a week during lunch time. M2 was very excited to be a part of the group, M1 was completely against being in the group, and F just joined the school and was reluctant to be a part of anything.

- Group 2: This group was spent addressing the big emotions of M1 who did not want to be a part of the group. The overall morale dropped and group entered the storming stage.

- First group of Mastery (Norming)
- Group 6: F chose to have the group listen to her favorite genre of music and color. This was the first group where students started to enjoy themselves as evidenced by participants talking and connecting with each other as a whole.
- Group 5: M1 shared with the group his mastery of golf. He taught everyone how to swing and hit the ball properly. F chose not to participate. M1 was excited to share his skill and it effectively solidified his commitment to the group.
- Group 4: This was the first group where each participant was offered the chance to show the others a skill or activity they felt mastery in. M2 taught us how to draw dragons. The other participants chose not to follow his instruction.
