After Twenty Years

- While I was inspecting the area during 10 o' clock, I saw a man standing in a dark door way with an unlighted cigar in his mouth. I went to him and the man explained quickly his reason why he was standing there.
- The man started talking about the last time his friend and him dined in the restaurant and they made a deal that they would meet in the exact restaurant after 20 years since they were parting ways. They lose contact to each other after 2 years of parting ways and he was hoping that Jimmy would be there as well if he was still alive. The Policeman left after that.
- I'm waiting for a friend, it was an appointment that had been made 20 years ago. This used to be a restaurant. it was called Big Joe Brady's restaurant right?
- The restaurant had been there till 5 years ago, when it had been torn down
- After the policeman left, his friend Jimmy showed up and approached him. They began to catch up and had a small talk.
- Is that you, Bob?Bless my heart! It's Bob well, well, well! Come on, we'll go around to a place to know and have a good talk.
- Is that you Jimmy Wells?
- After a few walks they had, Bob noticed something different to Jimmy.
- You're not Jimmy Wells
- You've been under arrest for 10 minutes, 'Silky' Bob. Before we go to the station, here's a note I was asked to hand you.
- This is the note that was given by Mr. Jimmy Wells.
- To Bob: I was at the place on time. I saw the face of the man wanted by Chicago cops. I didn't want to arrest you myself. So I went and got another cop to do the job. From: Jimmy
- The ending of a story is a kind of twisting. The main conflict of the story is character vs. society. In the end, it was revealed that Bob became bad guy while he was in west. Which was the cause why policemen were going after him. The main theme of this story is always do the right thing and never lie for what mistake you did.
