- After having dreams about it, Old Major brings all of the animals together one night and tells them about animalism. A way of living, where there are no humans and the animals rule themselves. This is an allegory for Karl Marx inventing communism.

- The animals are starving so they break into the foodshed, and Farmer Jones comes out with other men and tries to stop them. The animals kick them off the farm. This is an allegory for the February Revolution.

- After 3 months, the pigs have decided on 7 rules that govern what they can and can't do on Animal Farm. These are the 7 commandments. This is an allegory for Lenin coming in and setting up communist Russia.
- Napoleon takes the milk and no one ever sees it again. This is an allegory for Stalinś lies.
- The farm produces food and ran smoothly, but some animals were doing much more work than others. This is an allegory for the difference between the working class and the bourgeois.
- The pigs write about Animalism and the revolution and send it to neighboring farms, in hopes it will inspire revolution there too. This is an allegory for other countries like Ukrain that heard about communism and followed along.
