- It all started in 1337, when King of France Philip the VI, tried to take over the English controlled land in southern France. Even more added up when Edward the III self declared himself as a official king of France. Afterwards the 100 years war started.

- Firstly, in 1340 Edward tried to defeat French in Sluys,which worked out. Later on he tried to defeat other cities but it was indecisive. In 1346 he came to Crécy with larger army, outnumbering the French. English also came up with the Longbow which was much more efficient and they successfully defeated French army.

- In 1356 the son of Edward the III won an important battle at Poitiers, where they also captured King John II of France. This conflict led French and English to negotiate a treaty in 1360. This treaty meant a big loss of land for French. The treaty didn't last long. French king Charles V declared war in 1369. Where they suppressed the English powers.

- At first, the French thought they're going to win, but they did not succeed. The English lead by Henry V won and swept through the Northern France and by Treaty of Troyes was recognised as a heir to the French throne. In 1420s the power of English started to decline. After the death of Henry V, they formed alliance with Burgundians.

- Joan of Arc was a peasant girl who had visions and could predict future. She led the French in Siege of Orleáns because the angels told her to do so. Not only the French won the Siege but from then the never lost. Sadly, the English kidnapped her and killed her because she was a "witch""
- The French won the war. The age of Exploration and enlightenment starts. "The power of pursue" starts to kick in. The power of pursue- Right to control wars and taxation. Feudalism ends and Nationalism begins.
