- Mars is 2,106 miles big. Mars has two moons. They are called Phobos and Deimos.

The soil of Mars also holds nutrients such as sodium, potassium, chloride, and magnesium. The red planet has some characteristics of climate similar to those on Earth, but for the large part of it, Mars is a barren, radioactive desert. The average climate is rather cold and the atmospheric pressure is close to a vacuum.
