- Hello! Who are you?
- My name is Katrina Van Tassel! Welcome to Sleepy Hollow.
- My name is Brom Bones. I live in Sleepy Hollow, a quiet little town full of farmers. My life was fine, great even, until Ichabod Crane decided to come to town.
- Hahahahhahaha! He'll finally leave her alone!
- Things were fine at first. He went to teach at his school, and I did what I usually did. We didn't butt heads or anything. Not at first.
- One day, he met the girl I love. Miss Katrina Van Tassel. She is beautiful, and comes from a rich family. Anyone that marries her will be sure to be happy. He took an immediate interest to her, and they started to spend more and more time together. I had to do something.
- Pretend he doesn't have a head
- First the things I did were simple. I smoked out his singing-school by stopping the chimney. I went into his school once at night and turned everything upside-down, making it seem like witches or ghosts had been there. If there was one thing that man was afraid of, it was the supernatural.
- No matter what I did, though, nothing worked. They would always be together and there was nothing I could do. Until I had an idea.
- There is a legend in Sleepy Hollow, one of a certain Headless Horseman. He lost his head back in the Revolutionary War. The legend says that he rides around at night, looking for his head. If that wouldn't scare him, I don't know what would.
