- Joel, we have to practice our crop skill for Moderation on Monday . Thanks for coming over to revise with me
- Okay Ria. What skill are we going to be revising today ? There were at least 5 we did with miss in school
- We would be reviewing how to transplant a seedling into a prepared grow box . I have already prepared my growbox in the backyard and I would borrow Mom's watering can .
- Sounds great Ria. I brought the lettuce seedlings and hand trowel. We have all our tools and equipment gathered . Are you ready to begin ?
- I'm so excited . Let's go to the back yard where the grow box is located
- Okay . Let's go .I hope it isn't too hot and maybe we can have some ice cream afterwards .
- Use the hand trowel and dig a hole about 2 inches in depth , place some manure and place the root system into the hole so it completely covered .
- Pull soil around the base of the plant and press down firmly to ensure plant is well secured and erect . No soil must be present in the growing point of the plant .
- Plants should appear upright after transplanting Joel . The last step is to water each plant sufficiently to prevent stress and for plants to grow well.
- Watering is so very important especially during the dry season. Let us wash and replace all the tools. We did a good job . I think we would do well on Monday.
- Our garden looks beautiful Joel, our plants are so green and healthy .

- Yes it does Ria. I can't wait to harvest our produce and to prepare a meal. Maybe we can make a salad .
