- Culture: The act of developing individual and moral faculties. Culture can differ from "Eastern" to "Western" or even "popular" Culture is developed at home, in society, and in the classroom.
- Culturally Responsible Teaching: CRT is using education in a way that includes the student's prior knowledge and the environment the students come from to help with curriculum. Using care to not "white wash" the classroom culture to include all student lifestyle

- Challenges Incorporating all cultures into all aspects of the curriculum is daunting. It is important to not "white wash" aspects of the education while making a well developed classroom culture. Making sure to stay up to date on acceptable references for each culture as well as learning new styles with incoming students can seem overwhelming.

- But.. How do I know how to prepare curriculum for students in advance? How Can I ensure everyone is included if they don't open up about their home-lives?
- Reflection: It may seem daunting to include all students, but it is not hard to ensure a classroom that is open and inviting for all cultures. Even if a student does not communicate his or her culture, it is till important to incorporate all aspects into curiculum
- Even if you (general) plan a lesson that includes a culture that is not represented, the students still need to know about that culture. Just ensure it is tasteful and not "blackface" style
