- He's also a fantastic painter, specializing in landscapes, flowers, birds, and humans. In 1894, he graduated from Ateneo Municipal with a Bachelor of Arts degree. After graduating, he went to the University of Santo Tomas to study law.
- He is one of the poem author my JHS teacher introduce to the class back then. He is good in writing Prose too, also he is know as "the greatest Filipino epicpoet writing in Spanish.

- Did you know that he was born on November 22, 1877, in Sta. Cruz, Manila? Jose P. Apostol is his father, and Marcelina de los Reyes is his mother. To give you a little more information on him, he began writing his own poem in 3rd grade as part of his school program.
- Wow! That's why Claro M. Recto called himself "the greatest writer of both prose and poetry" because he began writing at a young age.
