- TURN BACK TO GOD!!
- The people wanted a king. God made a promise to one king called David. He promised that his family will forever rule God's people. God also said that one day a king would bring the promised blessing to the whole world and that this king would be called 'The Messiah' or 'Christ'.
- LETS GET TO WORK!!
- IS THERE A BLESSING?IS THERE A MESSIAH?
- A lot of the kings after the time of David rejected God which made the people turn their backs to god and to start worshipping other gods. God then sent prophets to tell them to turn back to god or else they would be sent into exile.
- Sadly the people didn't listen to the prophets and didn't turn back to God. Enemies invaded Israel and wiped it out. The Israelites were put into slavery by the enemies and were sent into exile away from the promised land.
- Some of the Israelites were eventually able to return to the promised land and start to rebuild. It still wasn't the land it was before the enemies invaded. In the end of the Old Testament God's people were still waiting on the Messiah and God's promises. They were questioning was there a blessing/ and is there a Messiah?
