- Opening / Introduction "Hi! My name is Jerry and welcome to "Middle Age Man Meals"!. Throughout this series, I'll show you how to make easy, delicious,and (sometimes) healthy recipes that you're sure to love!
- Today, we're going to make a panini. Panini is a sandwich made with Italian or other rustic bread and oftentimes toasted and pressed. I love panini because the type you make is limited only by your imagination and the ingredients you have on-hand.
- During this episode, I'm going to use crusty italian bread, ripe tomatoes, fresh basil and locally-sourced mozzarella cheese to create a margherita panini. You may be more familiar with pizza margherita but the combination of tomatoes, basil and mozzarella is perfect for a panini as well. So let's get started!
- I remove sandwich from press; talk about how amazing it looks; cut it on a diagonal while talking to camera "Bread is nicely grilled" "Sandwich has been pressed perfectly" "Cheese is all melted and gooey"
- Description of cooking options. When it comes to cooking your panini, there are really two options...a panini press or a regular skillet. We're going to use a press but if you're going to use a skillet, simply cook your panini just like you would a grilled cheese but use a weighted object such as another skillet or a brick to press the sandwich down during cooking.
- Show foil-wrapped brick. Then also show and describe panini press.
- Me with camera straight on oiling and seasoning bread; layer on basil leaves; sliced tomatoes; mozz cheese; season ingredients; put into press FADE TO BLACK
