- An elderly woman shuffles into the kitchen. Her hand is curled into a fist as the result of a previous stroke.
- She struggles to put on her robe over her pajamas. It's difficult and laborious with her hand.
- CLOSE UP ON her hand pushing through the sleeve of her robe. It is clenched and shaking.
- She sits down at the table, sighing. She reaches for a mug of coffee.
- She struggles to grasp the cup with her bad hand, pulls it towards her, and it slips. The mug topples and spills coffee across the table.
- CLOSE UP ON her hand resting on the table. She pokes it repeatedly with her good hand, as if it's dead, unfeeling weight.
- She gets up, determined. Slides on the sleeve, easily. Grabs her car keys and walks out.
- She walks outside and gets into her car, turning it on.
- CLOSE UP ON her hand again. She stretches it open, and takes control of the wheel. Text fades over the screen.
