- I am eating bread because it is a source of carbohydrates. Carbohydrates are important because through digestive system, it's converted into glucose which is an essential energy source for the body. Since I am going to play soccer, I going to need tons of energy. Also I am scared for some reason.

- Wait! When I exercise, doesn't that mean by body needs to get its supply of blood and energy more quickly?!

- The circulatory system and the respiratory system work together to transport oxygen through the body. All our body parts and muscles need oxygen to perform their different actions like digestion and exercise. When air enters are lungs, oxygen is stored in the alveoli while the carbon dioxide is exhaled. Blood pumped through heart then collects and carries the oxygen then goes back to the heart and then into the body.
- Jane is right! When we are running or doing something active, our body needs to get blood and thus energy and oxygen more quickly in order for our muscles and other body parts and organs to properly function. This explains why our heartbeats are quicker when we exercise. Our hearts needs to pump blood faster. It's also why we shouldn't exercise immediately after eating. Our stomach needs oxygen too but during exercise, that oxygen is being heavily used already so it causes us to puke
