- Maya and her family move to the United States since her parents lost their job in Kazakhstan. They have came to the decision of providing a better life and education to Maya and her brother Nurzhan.
- Climax
- Maya is excited since there's a Spring Fling Dance and she's looking forward to dance with her crush, but she still needs to ask Mama and Papa for permission. They are most likely to say yes because they just came to the US and are still adapting to the culture.
- Falling action
- Nurzhan got into a fight with his classmates because they were bullying him for being different and not being able to pronounce some words. Maya then tries to help him get out of the situation by lying to their parents.
- Resolution
- Their parents accept Maya's proposal of wanting to go to the dance but only with one condition, Nurzhan has to be her chaperone for the rest of the day without any excuses. Maya accepts going with her brother to the dance since she's going to see her crush anyway.
- Maya stands in front of her crush as Nurzhan walks away to give them privacy. They start dancing.
- Maya and Nurzhan got home after having a great time at the Spring Fling dance. Maya then thanks her brother for helping her meet her crush at the party and making that night an unforgettable one.
