- Katnis everden lives in a distopia where country is divided into 12 districts and capital. Katniss who lives in a poorest of the districts 12, regularly sneaks out beyond with her friend Gale to poach what games they can for food.
- Climax
- During the selection of hunger games participants called reaping. Katniss little sister is selected to be female tribute to district 12. Katniss afraid of her sister, volunteer to take her place and save her sister.
- Falling action
- Most people struggle to survive. The people in the capital lives a luxury life but people who lives in villages. As a reminder failed rebellion, the capital forces 12 districts to participate in the hunger games in which 24 teenagers kill one another to survive.
- Resolution
- Katniss and peeta enter the daily hunger games after a short stay in the capital where they were trained and were put on display for public.
- Katniss surprises viewers and game makers alike with her quick thinking and unexpected act compassion, including making a funeral for her friend from District 11, Rue. katniss and Peeta win over the hearts of the viewers because of their ‘ romance’
- The Game maker reverse the decision to allow 2 winners from the same district. Katniss and Peeta are the only 2 left so they decide to pretend to eat poisonous nightlock berries in order to beat the Game maker at their own game because the capital needs winner for the younger Games , both Katniss and Peeta are declared the winner. They find out that this act may have started a new rebellion.
