- Germs are EVERYWHERE...even at school...

- I think I learned there are 4 types of germs. I wonder if we can find all of them at school...
- *gulp* Am I sitting on bacteria? Am I breathing in bacteria? Is there bacteria on YOU? How do we get rid of it??
- Did you know bacteria is found almost everywhere on earth? Even in THIS classroom?!
- Most bacteria is harmless, some is even helpful! Did you know, a virus is a germ you can pick up right here from this reading corner. Researches even think viruses outnumber bacteria 10 to 1! Yikes.
- I sure hope there are no more germs at school...
- I've heard of some pretty bad virus. Can soap or hand sanitizer can keep me safe from a virus?

- Viruses can only be eliminated by antiviral medication or vaccines, but washing your hands can help keep germs away!Ooooh - look down there! It looks like some kind of fungus!
- I learned that not all fungus is dangerous, but some kinds can be super harmful.

- If I'm not mistaken, I think we're all hosts, right Mrs. Hall? How will I know if I'm hosting a parasite right now? Parasite... are you in there?
- I found this book on parasites. Parasites are icky organisms that feed of it's host to survive.
- You're right. Our bodies COULD host a parasite. Serious infections can form from parasites and you'd likely get pretty sick. Here, why don't we all go wash our hands and wipe down some door knobs and high touch surfaces to help slow the spread of germs at school as much as we can.
