- Hey kids... Here is the title of my new book...
- The Day the Gator came to Gateway!
- zzzzz.....
- What is she thinking? I don't want to be a character in this book!
- Mrs. Wordell decided to write a children's story about the Gateway Gator. She had no idea that while she was writing it in her classroom, the story was actually coming to life outside the building.
- Mrs. Wordell was teaching students about creative writing. She didn't realize there was a magic potion that was dumped into the water fountain by some fairies.
- Someone needs to find out who is responsible for this madness! Where are they coming from?
- The students at Gateway did not like this story at all. Some were afraid to leave their building, some were stuck outside at the track and one was at the top of the fountain.
- I wonder if my students understand how much fun writing can be...
- All of the sudden, there were alligators EVERYWHERE! Big gators, baby gators, green gators, brown gators... They were taking over the school! Someone has to tell her to STOP writing.
- Even the teachers and staff were scared. They had to get the message to Mrs. Wordell to close the story or make the gators disappear. Someone sent an email, but it was too late. She was going home.
- Mrs. Wordell thought she was just going home for the day. She had no way to know how powerful words can be in stories. I guess she will find out soon enough. The End
