- Montresor has lead Fortunato through the catacombs under his home tricking him into believing there is Amontillado in this next room.
- For the love of god Montresor
- Montresor tells Fortunato that the amontillado is in what appears to be an extension from the normal wall.
- Goodbye Fotunato
- Fortunato steps into the area not finding anything, even though there is nowhere else to look inside this tiny area all the drinking Fortunato had been doing was getting to his head which kept him looking.
- For fifty years no one has disturbed the bones of Fortunato. In pace requiescat
- Fortunato stops looking in the small room and after turning around he realizes what Montresor is doing, thinking it's a joke he begins laughing but eventually mutters his last words.
- Montresor thought about weather or not he should let Fortunato go, or if he should place the last brick. Montresor finally decided to place the last brick and leave the catacombs
- To this day Fortunato's bones remain in the catacombs and Montresor had still not gotten caught
