  • Take them away! They will be only one king in this kingdom! Drown them in the river Tiber!
  • STOP! DON'T DO THIS TO MY BABIES PLEASE!
  • Goodbye mother....
  • I am the Father of the River, Tiberinus, to save you from an untimely death.
  • Who are you?!
  • Drink, children...
  • In Alba Longa, before the times of the Romans, lived a vestal virgin, Rhea Silvia, daughter of the former king Numitor (a king who was overthrown by his brother Amulius). Seeing that the boys could overthrow his rule, he ordered them to be killed and left at the River Tiber.
  • And that is why we should expand the city!
  • Such educated men! Isn't that right darling?
  • The Father of the River, Tiberinus, would save the two brothers from a deadly fate. They were found by a she-wolf, who looked after them as children.
  • Look! The gods favor my path!
  • FINE THEN! I'M TIRED OF YOU, ROMULUS!
  • I'm sorry brother...You had to die Remus...I'm so sorry...
  • The dark cave of Lupercal would be their home for some time. Eventually, the boys were found and adopted by shepherds from a nearby village, but did not know of their true identity.
  • All hail King Romulus!
  • As the boys grew, their support did as well from the community. Unfortunately, supporters of the old king Amulius would recognize the two and take Remus as prisoner. Romulus would then save him, kill Amulius, and the two reinstated their grandfather Numitor to his throne in Alba.
  • The two brothers decided to set up a new city, but could not decide where to put it. After a long dispute, the brothers decided to seek out advice from the gods. Remus saw 6 birds, but then Romulus saw 12, furthering the rivalry between the two.
  • Romulus would then go on to murder his brother, securing his place on the throne of of what would become Rome. He would reign as its first king for many years, establishing the civilization for years to come.
