  • Thailands transition throughout Stages in History
  • All stages consider political economic and social factors that effect the status of Thailand
  • By: Sage Cooper
  • Come on children, lets gather and say a prayer to appreciate the trees, wildlife, and nature that provides us the ability to live on this beautiful land.
  • Thank god we got there in time before he gave the medication away
  • We really are lucky, now mom will finally be cured!
  • Im hungry. Where's the food at
  • Psh, might need a bigger table dad, duh.
  • Times have changed sweetheart what can ya say. I like our little cute family anyways. :)
  • Stage 1 was when population was low and families were working and providing for themselves using labor work and agriculture. Birth rate and death rate are both high which makes Natural increase very low. This makes population growth impossible.
  • That was scary. Could you imagine if the test was positive, my life would be over!
  • No it wouldn't love. You would get an abortion and you be able to live your life. Thank god for contraception.
  • In Stage 2 medical developments and technological advances began to arise which decreased the death rate. The birth rate remained constant due to cultural lags and other factors that delayed its decrease. Due to the death rate decrease from improvements in modern medicine, the Natural Increase began growing.
  • WORLD ISSUES
  • Alright Class, let's take a look at the question on the bored. Can anyone tell me anything that comes to mind?
  • Why is the Natural Increase Suddenly Decreasing?
  • During Stage 3 people started realizing that all their children were surviving (as the infant mortality rate drops),therefore meaning they did not need to have a large number of children to ensure the survival of a couple of them. As the death rate continues to decrease rapidly the birth rate starts to follow. This results in a growing natural increase.
  • It's so crazy that my when I was your age sitting with my family for dinner, we could barely fit our chairs around the table. I can only imagine what the twelve of us sitting down for dinner would look like today.
  • Stage 4 is where the birth and death rate remain low due to industrialized advancements such as contraception. Contraception now allows women to control and regulate fertility. However, Natural Increase is stable with a slight increase because the birth rate still remains slightly higher than the death rate. Cultural lags began to finally be caught up as-well.
  • In Stage 5, both the death rate and the birth rate slow down and stabilize and then slightly start to decrease. This causes the Natural increase to now decrease as the population begins to shrink. This stage is where some developed countries are at in regards to population growth because of the stabilization in the health care system and economy.
