  • Abraham and the Hebrew people were shepherds that lived in Ur. Mesopotamia around 1700BCE. God and Abraham made a covenant that if Abraham moves the Hebrew people to Canaan that it will be the promised land for all of the Hebrew/Jewish descendants.
  • lets go and get away from these Egyptians.

  • Jacob and his family had to move to Egypt because they were running out of resources in Cannon. They were treated well by the Egyptians for a period of time, but then the Egyptians enslaved all of the Hebrews because many of the Hebrews came to Egypt, and the Egyptians thought they would take over Egypt.

  • Mosses was a Hebrew man who thought was an Egyptian but later figured out that he was a Hebrew. Mosses tried to convince the Pharaoh to let his people be free, but the Pharaoh did not let them go. After that, many of the Hebrews stopped believing in Mosses.

  • Mosses had many ethics, but then Mosses put 10 plagues on the Egyptians. The punishments kept on getting harsher, harsher, and after the last one, the Pharaoh finally set the Hebrews free from slavery.
  • Mosses got the 10 commandments on Mount Sinai, and the 10 commandments are a set of rules or beliefs that God wants his people to follow and believe. All of the Hebrew people should treat the commandments with respect and peace.
  • They stayed in a random desert for 40 years to build up their army and get stronger, so they could conquer their promised land again. When they were building up the army Mosses died and Joshua took over a took place for Mosses.
