- the dragons live on a hot island with many trees.  The trees provide shade for the creatures. They would have a very hard time in the heat without the shade from the trees.
- There are two different color dragons (black and blue). They eat bugs and plants. They have claws but do not really use them for anything. They do not like being in the sun because it hurts their skin. They spend all their time in the shade.
- one day a giant tornado came and destroyed all the tress . The two different color dragons got seperated  in the proccess.(geographic isolation)
-  the lighter skin dragons got flung to a dersert part of the island with no plants or protection from the sun. The smart dragons dug holes to live in and protect them selves from the sun. They had to only eat worms and bugs. Over the next 100 generations they developed loner nails and their skin became lighter through natural selection.
- the dark skin dragons got flung to an area with small plants but no protection from the sun. Since their skin is darker they had an easier time in the sun. Since there was a lot of vegitation they would graze on the grass fields. Over the next 100 generations their skin got darker and thicker and their nails were very short. That happened through natural selection.
- when the dragons meet again they do not recogonize eachother. They do not reproduce.They are now different species.
