- Battle of Lexington and Concord
- The battle of Lexington and Concord took place on April 19th, 1775. The main people who fought in this battle were John Parker, James Barrett, John Buttrick, John Robinson, William Heath, Joseph Warren, Isaac Davis, Francis Smith, John Pitcairn and Hugh Percy. The battle took place at Lexington, Concord, and Middlesex County. On the British side 73 were killed, 174 were wounded, and 26 were missing but while the colonists lost many minutemen the battle was considered a major military victory. This battle marked the start of the American War of Independence.
- Battle of Bunker Hill
- The battle of bunkerhill was on June 17, 1775. The American patriots were defeatd but they still proved they held up a fight against the superior British army. This battle was fought in Charleston, Boston. The battle led directly to the Royal Governor evacuating the occupying army from the town of Boston.
- Battle of Yorktown
- The battle od Yorktown occured on September 28, 1781 through October 19, 1781. The main fighters in this battle were General Washington who led the American army, Lieutenant-General de Rochambeau who led the French troops, and Major-General Lord Cornwallis who commanded the British and German troops. This battle was fought in Yorktown, Virgina and the American army ended up winning the battle. This last major land battle of the American Revolution led to negotiations for peace with the British and the signing of the Treaty of Paris in 1783
