- This represents the start of Santiago´s journey and the beginning of his Personal Legend.
- Santiago meeting the Alchemist
- The King is the person Santiago learns a lot from in a short amount of time. His encounter with the King is important because the King gives him hope on achieving his Personal Legend.
- Santiago talking with the Wind
- A lot happens for Santiago at the oasis. It´s where he meets and falls in love with Fatima, where he begins talking more with the Englishmen, where the desert shows him visions, and where he meets the Alchemist.
- Santiago finding his treasure
- The Alchemist plays a very important role in both the book and Santiago´s journey. He teaches Santiago about the Soul of the World and about alchemy.
- This part was the moment I believe Santiago´s heart was closest to the Soul of the World. He was talking with the wind, sun, and desert and he knew he wanted to achieve his Personal Legend with all of his heart.
- This moment signifies the end of Santiago´s journey. He achieved his Personal Legend and learned a lot of valuable lessons along the way. He know wants to go back to Fatima and go on with his life.
