- The kickoff of the battle was on August 27th 1776, Americans lost over 240 soldiers from Maryland Americans were already there and all of the sudden our 200 soldiers were facing 15000 British soldiers they were very outnumbered. This was Washington's biggest defeat and he lost 20% of his soldiers, after that the British take over and use New York as their base.
- Battle of Brandywine
- Christmas day 1776, Washington and his men decided to cross the freezing river. The hessians leader told them to enjoy their Christmas and not to worry about the Americans attacking. Then the Americans surprised them by showing up and the Americans won against the Hessians. This was a moral booster for the patriots.
- Battle of Saratoga
- We out maneuvered the British until they waved the white flag. Washington stepped in when his general was hurt in battle, and he rode on a big white horse and led in the front.

- In the summer of 1776, the battle started but the British pulled a flank causing the Americans to retreat and they had lost Philadelphia, it was one of the longest battles.
