  • "Never knowing that they shared one name, Till the day they died, when a mother cried. My own dear sons lie slain"
  • "In the name of Jesus, the thing was done, Now there's no going back for anyone. It's too late now, for feeling torn. There's a pact been sealed, there's a deal been born."
  • "I'm not depressed Richard,; it's just that she makes me feel... Richard i think she should go."
  • This scene shows that this is the twin's destiny and that there's nothing they can do to change this, bad things will happen when they find out the truth.
  • "Do you wanna be my blood brother Eddie?"
  • Mrs Johnstone seals her promise by swearing on the bible after being persuaded by Mrs Lyons. This means one of Mrs Johnstone's babies will be handed over to Mrs Lyons after their birth. Mrs Johnstone cannot go back after the promise, God has watched her swear on the bible, the decision has been finalised.
  • "I've told you never to go near that boy- where boys like that live"
  • In this picture, Mrs Lyons is shown feeling a sense of jealousy caused by Mrs Johnstone's close relationship with "her son". Because of this, she persuades her husband to fire her, so she's no longer a threat.
  • "Oh, bright new day, We're goin' away."
  • This image represents Mickey and Edward crossing paths after years, when they've both turned 7. They find out they were both born on the same day and therefore decide to call each other blood brothers and immediately become the best of friends.
  • Edward is being told off by his mother after she'd been told her son and Mickey had met at the Johnstone's house. Edward has no idea why she's creating such a big fuss and gets angry for not being able to hang out with his blood brother. She later makes a decision to move to the countryside to protect herself and her son from the truth.
  • Both the Johnstone and Lyons family move out to the countryside, Johnstones because they have been rehoused by the council, Lyons for a fresh new start and also a plan of Mrs Lyons to prevent her son from getting close to the Johnstones.
