- Introduction
- Suicide is the third leading cause of death in people aged 10-24. As the percentages rise, can we look to the school system to be a cause and effect? In Disturbed Girl's Dictionary, Macy is excluded and seen as an outcast. Many people who suffer from depression feel as if they are differnet from everyone.
- Anxiety in childhood is linked to depression as an adult. Today's school system leaves many children with feelings of unworthiness and a sense of guilt. An estimated 3.1 million adolescents aged 12-17 had at least one major episode of depression. Only 19% receive help. School seems to have an effect.
