This is me reflecting on the fourth week of theInstructional design course. Halfway through the course -how time has flown by?In this week I was Introduced tovisual design principles andinteractive PowerPoint slideshow presentations to enhance engagement.
I have to say, from myself evaluation, I mighthave missed the mark on the design principles. I enjoyed making the interactivepresentation. I must admit, if I may, I enjoyed designing the interactive game.
I also learnt how to create educational games, that students canplay on PowerPoint. This was a “ha-ha”moment for me. Cropping my pic and pasting it to superman’s shoulder was cool.
I learnt a lot in this week. Firstly, how to createPowerPoint slideshow presentations to enhance engagement and visualdesign principles. I also, learnt how to create buttons that linked other slidesand how to attach hyperlinks to a presentation. I also learnt how to usetriggers and animations. These features bring to life boring presentations.
I will surely use what I learnt aboutvisual design principles and interactive PowerPoint slideshowpresentations to enhance student engagement.
I will use the interactive presentations to enhance understanding, supplement and solidify learning. The interactive quizzes, as a form ofgamification will test students’ knowledge and understanding of concepts
